ABOUT ME
Jyoti A. Kathpalia is an Associate Professor, Art Critic and Curator. She has been teaching in PGDAV College for three decades. She is also an Art curator and Critic. Specialising in the interface of art, text and theory, Jyoti has curated numerous significant exhibitions across India and has written on numerous renowned artists from all over India and abroad. She is the consulting editor of a leading art magazine and art bulletin in India.

Jyoti has made significant contributions to both national and international art scenes. Her work consistently explores cultural intersections and interdisciplinarity.

Jyoti has also been conducting dense research in gender and art. Her work is an extension of her creative thoughts and refreshing takes on art backed by decades of research and writing. She has presented papers at various conferences. Her papers have been published in prestigious national and international journals.

She has moderated and hosted various art events and talk shows broadcasted on eminent media and YouTube art channels.
She is also keenly interested in dialogues between Indian folk art and contemporary art. Jyoti is also committed to issues of representation of women in electronic media and visual arts. She has been actively involved in gender sensitization efforts and development programs.
